Your personal data will be used for the purpose of processing the service you have selected (subscription to UBS electronic newsletter and/or participation in the competition), forwarded by UBS to an external company and may be processed and maintained outside the location (country) in which you are. The data entered into this form is transmitted encrypted to UBS via the Internet. Nevertheless, in order to maintain discretion, please do not include any confidential data such as account numbers. Via this form UBS does not accept any instructions for business transactions such as the opening of accounts, payment orders, trading orders, revocations of orders or authorizations, blocking of credit cards, changes of address etc. Please contact the appropriate office or your client advisor for such transactions. Electronic communication between yourself and UBS and the external company in Switzerland acting on behalf of UBS is carried out on the basis of publicly accessible communication services (especially Internet/non-encrypted e-mails) and the available security standards. With your registration you are also indicating your acceptance of this method of data processing.

The data concerned may also be used by UBS for its own marketing purposes (i.e. the aforementioned newsletter and event mailing service) in dealings between the bank and yourself. Anyone (clients and non-clients) may sign up for this service and cancel it again at any time. Newsletter subscriptions can be cancelled at any time, either by clicking on the cancellation link at the end of the newsletter or via the website on which the subscription was started.

UBS will evaluate and analyze user conduct in relation to your interaction with e-newsletters (including date and time of accessing e-newsletters, details of any links within the e-newsletter that you accesses, and how many times these are accessed) and will use the results to prepare profiles. In particular, these are used by UBS and its Group companies to offer their clients individual advice, tailored offers and information about UBS products and services as well as for the purposes of market research, marketing and risk management.
