Dear colleagues,

Thank you for joining us at the recent Singapore Townhall. Over 700 of you across our three office locations participated. We hope it provided you with a good overview of our co-creation journey so far and our next steps forward together.

You are invited to check out the scale model of our new home at 9 Penang Road at our show booth now open at ORQ 49/F lounge. The booth will give you a taste of our new workspace at 9 Penang Road and enhanced offerings in Hansa Point.

More co-creation opportunities coming up at our show booth

In the next few months, this booth will bring you more developments - from the look and feel of our new and enhanced premises, to the way we collaborate in our new workspaces. Do participate proactively in our upcoming activities where we can collectively build a UBS that continues to bring out the best in us.

Our show booth will stay with us till we move. We encourage you to drop by with your colleagues regularly through the months. You may look out for new updates via our microsite.

Thank you for being part of the co-creation experience as we work to move forward together to 9 Penang Road. Your valuable input and ideas in the online survey and workshops helped us make progressive steps in the design and layout plans for our future workplace.

We are excited to share these updates with you at the next Singapore Townhall on Monday, 22 July, 5:00 - 6:00 pm. You may register here if you have not done so via our earlier email.

Dear colleagues,

Since we first announced our plans to move into our very own UBS Building at 9 Penang Road, we have been gathering feedback from you through various channels. Thank you for your active participation and valuable inputs as we co-create our new home together.

Hearing from you: In our recent Workspace Survey, we asked what a productive and collaborative environment means to you. About 1,700 of you responded and helped us understand what matters most to you, and the type of spaces needed for higher productivity and collaboration.

Overview of the top survey findings

Staff Engagement Workshops: Close to 200 of you joined us at the Leadership Interviews, Focus Groups and Workspace Design Workshops. With you coming from across all businesses and functions, we were able to help each other understand our varying needs and our present and ideal working styles.

Highlights of discussions across the engagement activities

Today, we are delighted to launch our 9 Penang Road Microsite, a dynamic platform which will continually evolve with latest updates and news along the way. I highly encourage you to bookmark this page. This will be where you can find our next steps forward, upcoming activities, discussions that you can be part of and the overview of our 9PR Move Timeline.

We will also like to invite you to a UBS Singapore Branch Townhall on Monday, 22 July, where we will be sharing detailed takeaways from the survey and workshops; where we are currently at; and the next steps.

We hope all of you will be part of every step we take towards our move. Your views and concerns matter to us. So if at any time should you have anything to ask or share with us, you may do so via the feedback page. Rest assured all entries are kept confidential and are reviewed in our regular program team meetings.

We look forward to connecting with even more of you as we journey together towards our move to our new building at 9 Penang Road.

Dear colleagues,

Today, we are delighted to announce our plans to move to our very own UBS building – a new state-of-the-art office complex - where we can bring majority of our staff together in a single campus location in the heart of the city. Staff will enjoy a future-ready workplace with the latest modern facilities that promote well-being, while clients will benefit from enhanced access to UBS's integrated bank and global expertise under one roof. The move will take place in the second half of 2020.

The new UBS-branded building will be located in a 381,000 square feet property at 9 Penang Road in the heart of the city and close to the main transit lines. Set in the Orchard shopping belt, the offices are close to expansive gardens and with easy access to the lush greenery of Fort Canning Park and Singapore's heritage and civic districts.

Singapore is a strategic priority of UBS and we have grown over the last 50 years to be a leading foreign financial institution in Singapore. Today, UBS has close to 4,000 full-time and contracted people working in Singapore across all of its businesses. This move will allow us to house our colleagues currently working at One Raffles Quay and Suntec City together under one roof allowing for enhanced collaboration and efficiency. Hansa Point @ Changi will continue to remain as the Corporate Center services hub and our primary BCP site.

The new premises will also be home to our UBS University Asia Pacific where we will continue to lead the training and development programs for colleagues across the region.

The future-ready workplace, with the latest connectivity and health and well-being facilities, will offer an ideal environment in which to enhance the way we work and collaborate. The new building's energy-efficient and future-proof construction will help UBS operate in line with the highest environmental standards. As sole tenant, UBS Singapore will have full control of building security, which will feature a single-entry system including facial recognition technology.

Employee engagement will be a priority and we will be contacting you soon with updates and how you can be involved in the creation of our new home in Singapore.
