Results of the latest study including Mexico.

UBS Investor Watch is our publication focusing on various topics and problems of interest for investors across the world. Based on our analysis of their views, we gain valuable insights to shape our advice and to help you make better decisions to protect and grow your wealth.

The idea of living a century was once confined to science fiction. But no longer. For Mexican investors, living a 100-year life is not an outcome they consider a mere possibility. It’s one they expect.

An increasingly strong belief that they will live to 100 is driving significant changes in spending, investing and legacy behavior by Mexican investors.

This is the key finding from the latest UBS Investor Watch, the largest recurring global study of investors in the world, which covers the views of close to 5,500 across the world in 10 markets (Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Switzerland, the U.S., U.K. and UAE).

We discovered some interesting facts:

  • Study finds that 67% of investors in Mexico now believe they will live to 100
  • 73% say that working is good for health, but 67% of them also say that they expect to have to work longer to keep up their lifestyle
  • Planning for a century, 99% are making financial changes because of longer life expectancies
