Global consultancy Universum recently surveyed more than 225,000 business and engineering / IT students from the world’s 12 largest economies about their views on potential employers and career aspirations.

Universum World Most Attractive Employer

The outcome? UBS is ranked number 43! What kept us in the top 50 (and bumped us up two notches)? Well, we got strong marks from survey participants, who recognized us as very strong in the areas of people and culture. They think we have a friendly work environment, respect each other and value diversity and collaboration. As Universum's analysts noted: "UBS has an advantage against other global banks when it comes to being associated with teamwork, customer focus and ethical standards.”

How do Universum's global rankings work?

Universum conducts employer surveys in dozens of countries, publishing individual country results as well as regional and global results. The World’s Most Attractive Employers survey results are based on the responses of 228,910 business and engineering/IT students from the 12 largest economies (Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Russia, South Korea, the UK, and the US). Companies must be ranked among the most attractive employers (Top 90% of the Universum Ideal Employer Ranking) in at least six of the 12 markets. Results are weighted by GDP, so a high-ranking position in the US has a greater influence than one in India or the UK, for example. This year’s survey was conducted from October 2017 to April 2018.
