Regional head: Debjani Raffan

Debjani joined UBS in 2005 as Client Advisor. She has worked in the financial services industry for over 15 years in advisory roles and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. She is married with 2 children and in her spare time she can be found honing her skills as a baker.

Client advisors

Responsible for looking after your wealth management needs, client advisors help you with your wealth strategy, advise on investment products and assist you in pension planning. They’re also your gateway to further UBS expertise, should you need specialist advice from our mortgage solutions team or help with selling your business, for instance.

Scott Young

Scott joined UBS in 2006 and has over 30 years' experience advising wealthy individuals and entrepreneurs in Scotland. He has an MSc in Investment Analysis from Stirling University. He also holds the ASIP and MCIBS designations. Scott is married and has 2 children. He is a keen hill walker and can also be found lamenting the generally poor state of Scottish football from his vantage point in the stands.

Kate Richardson

Kate moved to UBS's wealth management division to work with private clients in 2007, having previously worked for UBS's investment bank division. Kate gained a first class Honours Degree from Aston Business School and, in her free time, enjoys outdoor pursuits in the great Scottish countryside and exploring exotic locations abroad.

Greg Anderson

Greg joined UBS in 2014 as part of the first cohort in our apprenticeship programme before graduating to become a Client Advisor Assistant in 2016. He gained the CISI Private Client Investment Advice and Management qualification before becoming a Junior Client Advisor in 2020. Greg enjoys socialising, keeping fit and can regularly be found on Aberdour Golf Course.

Ramsay Wilson

Ramsay joined UBS in 2018 with over 10 years' experience in the industry. He holds an MSc in Finance and Investment Management as well as the CISI Private Client Investment Advice and Management qualification. In his free time, Ramsay enjoys watching rugby and playing golf.

Tom Gorman

Tom joined UBS in 2021 after returning to his native Edinburgh with over 14 years' experience in wealth management advisory roles in London and Geneva advising both domestic and international clients. He has a first class honours degree in English Literature & German from the University of Edinburgh, holds of the Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice & Management and is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute for Securities & Investment. Tom's weekends are typically spent chasing after this two young children and following the success - or otherwise - of the Scotland rugby team.

Financial planner

Financial planners work as specialists alongside your client advisor, providing bespoke financial planning advice. A team of planners and administrators support our financial planners, efficiently executing this advice, providing you with excellent client service, and offering access to other UBS resources. These resources can range from investment management to estate planning and corporate finance advice, in addition to specific wealth management products and services.

Sean O'Brien

Sean is a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, with 11 years' industry experience providing holistic financial planning advice to high net worth individuals, trustees and business owners. Sean is married with a young daughter and in his spare time enjoys travelling, skiing and keeping fit.

Client advisor assistants

Client advisor assistants are an integral part of the team, providing you with most of your day-to-day administrative support including payments, transfers and trades.

Gayle Cairncross

Gayle joined UBS in 2004 as the Office Manager before moving on to the role of Client Advisor Assistant. She has over 30 years' experience working in various sectors of the financial services industry.

Ann King

Ann joined UBS as a client advisor assistant with 22 years' experience in the industry. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, keeping fit and travelling to hotter climates.

Hannah Cross

Hannah graduated from Queen’s University Belfast having studied English and Modern History. Hannah has most recently worked in retail management with the John Lewis Partnership having previously worked for American Express.

Asfia Lawson

Having spent some time travelling Asfia joined UBS in January 2021 as a Client Advisor Assistant. Asfia studied Social Sciences at Edinburgh Napier, graduating with a 2:1 and has previously worked for Sainsbury's Bank whilst studying before working as a Payment Operations Analyst within the credit card team.

Lewis Lucchesi

Lewis joined UBS in 2019 as a Client Advisor Assistant. He graduated in 2016 from Heriot Watt University with a degree in Accounting and took part in NHS Lothian's first Finance Internship.

Team assistant

Hannah Philip

Hannah joined UBS in 2017 as Team Assistant, supporting the Scotland team in all areas of administration and office management. Hannah enjoys being outdoors but is equally happy being at the cinema and reading a good book.
