Regional Head

Bradley Russell

Bradley leads the Manchester office and the wider North West Region. Having worked in Wealth Management for over 20 years, Bradley has spent time working in London and Wiltshire, before coming back ‘home’ to Manchester, in 2011, where he has remained ever since, living in Alderley Edge, with his two daughters. Bradley has a particular interest in working with entrepreneurs and philanthropists and helping to connect them with the right experts, both within UBS and externally. Outside of the office, Bradley can be found playing golf (badly) and Padel (slightly less badly) or running and cycling the roads and pavements of Cheshire!

Bradley is involved with a number of local and national charities and chairs a local philanthropy network. Passionate about improving financial literacy amongst first generation wealth creators, Bradley has helped some of the North West’s leading entrepreneurs to better understand their finances and create a lasting legacy over the years and knows this market intimately. 

Client Advisors

Responsible for looking after your wealth management needs, client advisors help you with your wealth strategy, advise on investment products and assist you in pension planning. They’re also your gateway to further UBS expertise, should you need specialist advice from our mortgage solutions team or help with selling your business, for instance.

Jane Booth - Head of the Manchester office

Jane Booth

Jane has been a Client Advisor in the Global Wealth Management division of UBS since 2016. Jane specialises in crafting bespoke investment plans for each client, managing lifetime wealth, and multi-generational planning. She finds particular joy in building strong, enduring relationships with some of the North of England’s most successful entrepreneurs and their families.

Jane is passionate about improving financial confidence, especially with female clients and the next generation. She also interested in entrepreneurship, impactful charitable giving and succession planning.

Hailing from Bolton, her educational journey began with a BSc (Hons) in Geography from the University of Exeter before attaining a law degree and professional qualifications at the College of Law in Manchester. In Jane’s early career she practiced as a solicitor, providing expert advice on family law matters for wealthy families at two national law firms. Her fascination with investments and financial planning during her legal tenure paved the way to her career in wealth management.

In her spare time, Jane is a dedicated yoga instructor with experience in teaching sailing and skiing too. Living in Manchester, she enjoys staying active through activities including running, cycling and hiking.

Ellie Edwards

Ellie Edwards

Ellie is a Client Advisor in the Global Wealth Management division of UBS and joined the business in 2010, with a short stint away from UBS in 2014-15 whilst travelling and residing in Australia.

Ellie has a strong investment background, and this technical knowledge along with excellent relationship management skills, provided her with the foundation and confidence to enter a career in wealth management. At the age of 17, Ellie started working at Investec Asset Management and later pursued a series of professional qualifications, including the Investment Management Certificate, Investment Advice Diploma, and Private Client Investment Advice & Management.

Ellie’s career has taken her around the globe, with roles at BNY Mellon in both London and Melbourne, Australia. Originally from London, Ellie relocated to Manchester in 2018 and has since started a family there. Ellie’s technical capabilities and commitment to client service make her an invaluable asset to UBS and a reliable partner for individuals seeking expert guidance in wealth management.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Ellie maintains a love for wellbeing and exploration, and whilst much of her spare time is now occupied with a young family, she still aspires to explore new horizons and tick off destinations on her bucket list wherever she can.

Andy Carroll

Andy Carroll

Andy Carroll joined UBS in 2023 as a Financial Planner before moving into his current role as a Client Advisor. He is a Chartered Financial Planner and a qualified investment adviser, bringing a strong foundation of expertise to every client relationship. Andy specialises in delivering holistic wealth management solutions for entrepreneurs, and business owners.

Andy helps client’s structure, protect, and grow their wealth in line with their long-term objectives. His relationship-led approach focuses on bringing clarity and confidence to complex financial decisions, ensuring clients understand how their wealth can create impact both for themselves and for future generations.

Andy is passionate about helping show clients how their wealth can help achieve their goals and make informed decisions that improve their lives and support those around them.

Outside of work, Andy enjoys traveling, live music, attending sporting events, and is a lifelong Manchester United fan.

Client Account Managers

Client Account Managers are an integral part of the team, providing you with most of your day-to-day administrative support including payments, transfers and trades.

Amanda McNicol

Amanda McNicol

Amanda joined UBS as a Client Account Manager in 2015 from Coutts, where she had been an assistant focused on private banking products and services for high net worth clients. She joined the RBS group following her A-Levels with the intention of taking up one of the offers received for a university place a year later but decided to stay and build a career in banking.

Her roles at RBS, predominantly concentrated on the lending offering and she made the move to UBS in order to expand her knowledge and gain experience in the wider wealth management sector given UBS’ broad offering.

Amanda’s real interest in the wealth management industry is the relationships that are built. She is passionate about delivering a great service and ensuring clients feel valued and takes great pleasure in knowing that clients trust her with any of their requests.   

Amanda has two young daughters, so quality time away from work is spent with family and friends and exploring the outdoors.

Anum Zia

Anum Zia

Anum joined UBS in 2019 through the apprenticeship programme and is based in the firm’s Manchester office. Originally from Oldham, Greater Manchester, she has a keen interest in a range of wealth management topics, including philanthropy, sustainable and alternative investments, and the ongoing evolution of digital banking platforms.

She was drawn to a career in wealth management by the opportunity to work across different areas of banking while developing strong, long‑term relationships with clients and colleagues. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, long walks, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Sara Hussain

Sara Hussain

Sara began her career as an apprentice at UBS in 2020 while studying Applied Finance at the University of Exeter and has been working as a Client Account Manager since 2023. Hailing from Blackburn, Lancashire, Sara is interested in many areas of wealth management including sustainable investing, client relationships and alternative investments. As a people’s person, Sara was first attracted to a career in wealth management as it would enable her to build relationships with others and make meaningful connections with clients and colleagues. She enjoys the individuality of wealth management and using her financial knowledge to build plans that centre on someone’s unique situation and goals.

James Bradshaw, Apprentice, Yorkshire, UBS

James Bradshaw

James has spent five years in the Client Account Manager role. James studied Applied Finance with University of Exeter as part of the UBS degree apprenticeship programme

Prior to joining the Manchester team, James was based in the UBS Leeds office. James also completed a year of work experience at an IFA whilst doing his A-Levels. Business Studies was James’s favourite subject at school and he enjoys working with entrepreneurial clients. James also won a national investing competition whilst at school and won a trip to New York including a tour of the New York Stock Exchange, which drew him to a career in finance. James has an interest in behavioural finance following his CFA Level I studies and in private markets. Outside of work, James enjoys running, cooking, music, football, science and technology documentaries
