Amy Lo is the Chairman and Head of UBS Wealth Management, Greater China, Chief Executive of UBS Hong Kong Branch, and a Group Managing Director at UBS. She has over 30 years of experience in the private banking industry and since joining the firm in 1995, she has held various senior management positions including Regional head of UHNW in Asia where she built up the UHNW practice and offering into today's position as the leading regional wealth manager for UHNW individuals.

Actively involved in the development of the private banking industry in Hong Kong, Amy chairs the Hong Kong Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA); is a member of the Banking Industry Training Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Education Bureau; and a member of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee Financial Infrastructure Sub-Committee of Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

Amy is passionate in driving youth education and technological innovation in Greater China. She is a member of The Court and the MBA Advisory Board at The University of Hong Kong, a member of the Advisory Committee of the Department of Social Work at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and an Advisor of the Industrial Consulting Committee at the HongKong X, a tech start-up platform aim at promotion of innovations among young entrepreneurs. In 2017, Amy was named by a top-tier Chinese media, China Business News, as one of the "Hong Kong Top 20 in the next 20 years" for her contribution to innovation developments. She is also a Board Member of the UBS Optimus Foundation, the independent global grant making foundation aimed at improving the education and welfare of children globally.

Bill Diamond is a Silicon Valley veteran and current President and CEO of the SETI Institute, a position he has held since 2015. The SETI Institute is a non-profit research and education organization focused on astrobiology, space science and technology. Prior to joining the Institute, Mr. Diamond held various positions in applied technologies in a career spanning four decades. Most recently, Mr. Diamond was Vice President of Sales for Oclaro, Inc. where he led the company’s penetration in optical networking of the rapidly evolving Web 2.0 Data Center market. He also served as Vice President of Product Management for optical amplifiers, ROADM, high bit-rate modules, and micro-optics.

Mr. Diamond has worked predominantly in applied technologies with over 20 years’ experience in photonics and optical communications and more than a decade in X-ray and semiconductor processing technologies. His corporate background covers the spectrum from venture-backed start-ups to Fortune 100 multinationals, with responsibilities ranging from R&D, engineering and operations, to sales, marketing, product management and CEO positions.

Executive leadership roles include CEO positions at WaveSplitter Technologies, DenseLight Semiconductor (Singapore) and Xradia, Inc., now part of Zeiss. His photonics background also includes six years with AT&T Bell Laboratory’s Optoelectronics business unit and five years as President of US operations for the Swiss technology company, Comet A.G.

Mr. Diamond holds a B.A. in physics from Holy Cross College and a Master’s in Business Administration from Georgetown University. He is a past member of the Advisory Board for the McDonough School of Business Administration at Georgetown and is a current member of the Optical Society of America and the International Astronomical Congress. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Bay Area Science and Innovation Council.

Mr. Guosheng Qi founded Gridsum in 2005 and has served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer since then. Led by Qi, the company went listed on NASDAQ on September 23, 2016,making Qi the youngest CEO ever among those Nasdaq-listed Chinese companies.

Besides focusing on growth of the Company, Qi also put efforts on the development of software industry and informatization progress in China, as well as caring education for young talents. In 2018, Qi was invited to join the China Info 100, a leading independent platform Initiated by 100 leading scholars, entrepreneurs and policy makers, focusing on China’s public policies to guide innovation in the information era. He has been one of mentors at Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University since 2016, and awarded Outstanding Contribution to Education by Peking University in the same year. He studied Chemical and Biological Engineering at Tufts University, where he contributed to early research on cultured meat. After graduating, Ryan worked at MassBiologics, a biomedical company in Boston, MA, where he honed skills in cell line development and small-scale biomanufacturing. In May 2014, along with Perumal Gandhi and Isha Datar, Ryan started Perfect Day, a company that is developing a new source of milk and dairy ingredients using fermentation.

CEO, Oxford Sciences Innovation (OSI)

David Norwood is a serial science and technology entrepreneur and investor, whose ventures include Oxford Sciences Innovation, a £580m investment fund backing Oxford University spinouts, which he helped set up in 2015. He previously founded technology commercialisation business IP Group in 2000, which he floated in 2003 for £112m; it is now valued at £964m. To date, it has helped produce 17 AIM-listed firms.

He is an investor in many UK technology companies, including Tech Track alumni Wolfson Microelectronics and Oxford Nanopore; and is chairman of Oxford Pharma science, 4D Pharma and Genomics, which work with live bio therapeutics and DNA data respectively to inform drug development.

David is a former chess grandmaster, and previously captained the England chess team.

Shlomo is the CEO and co-founder of Intuitive Ltd. Intuitive is developing a 3D imaging and multi core processors chip. This chip includes the most advance 3D depth, computer vision processors and deep learning processor (CNN, RNN).

Prior to Intuitive, he had founded Percello Ltd. in 2007 and served as its Chief Executive Officer. He led Percello team to become the leader of the –small cell baseband market. Percello was acquired by Broadcom in 2010 for 88M$ with in less than 3 years from establishment. After acquisition he has served as a senior director at Broadcom and led the small cell unit.

Prior to Percello Mr. Gadot was a Co-Founder of Modem Art Ltd. and served as its Chief Executive Officer. ModemArt was acquired by Agere for $145M in 2005 After acquisition Mr. Gadot served as a Director of baseband processor at Agere in charge of Agere teams in U.K ( 2G), Israel (3G), Australia (4G-LTE).

Prior to Modem-Art, he served at AT&T Paradyne and AT&T Bell Labs where he was in the founding team that developed the first ADSL/HDSL in the world. His team had span off from AT&T and became a public company (Globespan – GSPN)

Harry Hui

Over the past two decades, Mr. Hui has served as CEO, investor, TV producer, speaker, author and global business strategist in Asia's consumer and media sectors.

Mr. Hui is currently the founder and managing partner of ClearVue Partners (cvpcap.com). Formed in Shanghai in 2010, CVP is a private equity firm investing into growth stage companies in China’s consumer sectors. ClearVue has invested into 26 companies with ~ usd1B in assets under management.

He was Managing Partner of two China private equity funds. Prior to that, he was Head of Asia and Managing Director of HQ Capital, a global alternative investment firm with around USD 11 billion under management. Prior to HQ Capital, he was Head of Investment Process at Schroder Adveq, a global private equity fund of funds based in Switzerland. Previously, he held positions at Transpac Capital and Singapore Technologies, where he was primarily engaged in sourcing transactions and making growth capital investments in Asia. He also worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and is a Certified Public Accountant of Singapore.

Mr. Lai earned an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BA from National University of Singapore.

Much of the work was done at the Computer Science Department at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh PA, USA, which he joined in 2001 as a Post-Doc. Daniel became an assistant professor at the Swiss Technical Institute (ETH) in Zürich, Switzerland, from 2004 to 2007.

Daniel has been awarded with the Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) Inventor Recognition Award, an IBM Faculty Award, a Microsoft Research SEIF Award, the Wolfson Research Merit Award and a Google Faculty Fellowship. His interests include automated reasoning about hardware and software systems.

Sundeep joined UBS Global Wealth Management as an equity analyst in February 2007. His coverage primarily focuses on global technology sectors including internet, semiconductors, software and services, and hardware. Additionally, Sundeep is also responsible for managing the Asia ex-Japan Focus 20 list, covering Taiwanese equities and developing other thematic ideas. David Chin joined SG Warburg, a predecessor firm of UBS, in London in 1994, and moved to Hong Kong in 1996.

David is currently Head of Corporate Client Solutions, Asia Pacific, for UBS based in Hong Kong. Between 2009 and 2015, he was Head of Investment Banking Division, Asia for UBS. Under his leadership, UBS was consistently ranked top in Asian investment banking league tables. In 2013, IFR Asia, FinanceAsia and The Asset all named UBS as Best Investment Bank in Asia.

Prior to 2009, David had held various senior positions including Head of Financial Institutions Group and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions in UBS Asia. In 2008, UBS was awarded Best FIG House in Asia by both FinanceAsia and The Asset.

He played an active role in business development for UBS, particularly in Hong Kong and China, including the development of offshore Renminbi equities and bond products since 2011; the formation of UBS Securities in China in 2007; and UBS's US$500m investment in Bank of China in 2005.

David led a wide range of capital market and M&A transactions for major clients in Asia, such as Bank of China, China Merchants Bank, China Pacific Insurance, Haitong Securities, Cinda Asset Management, and HKEx.

He is currently a Non-executive director of Postal Savings Bank of China. During the academic year 2015-16, he was a Visiting Bye Fellow at Selwyn College, Cambridge University, England.

Martin Yule is Deputy Head of UBS Research for APAC.  He has spent the last ten years in research management, and over 22 years in research and the financial services industry.  He joined UBS in February 2016.

Martin spent most of his career at Morgan Stanley, where he was a highly ranked equity analyst in Sydney and London. He became head of Australian research in 2007, and was promoted to Managing Director in 2008.  Martin moved to Hong Kong with Morgan Stanley in 2011 to become head of regional research product.

Currently, Martin is the key MiFID II spokesperson for UBS Research for APAC.  He is based in Hong Kong, where he has lived with his wife and three daughters for the last seven years.

Eugene spent his career in both the corporate and start-up world. Starting at Hewlett Packard (HP) Asia Pacific, holding various executive positions, covering the region. Homing his management, business development and technical skills, he subsequently embarked on his entrepreneurial journey.

In 1999, Eugene founded and was the CEO of SurfGold – a marketing and CRM solutions business, with presence in 12 countries. It was successfully acquired by Accentiv' (subsidiary of Accor S.A) in 2008, after which Eugene increased sales to over US$100M in the first year after the acquisition. Eugene later ventured into education, as co-founder and CEO of NeuroPlay Asia, an early children educational development business in China. Being a successful serial entrepreneur with a proven track record, Eugene actively mentors in several start-up programs. Coaching and advising young and aspiring entrepreneurs on their business models and management development.

As the COO of GOGOVAN, Eugene oversees the strategic direction and operations in GoGoVan’s six countries (Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, India, Taiwan and China) presence. In August 2017, GOGOVAN merged with 58 Suyun, the leader in China’s intra-city logistics market, and with operations in over 300 cities and over 1.2 million registered drivers. The combined entity is now Asia’s largest logistic delivery platform. Eugene continues to chart the company’s expansion plan, evolving and improving the company’s operational processes, engagement, efficiency and productivity, as GoGoVan takes on its next phase of growth and progress.

Mr. Charles Ng heads up one of the two divisons helping overseas and Mainland companies to establish or expand their business presence in Hong Kong. His teams are responsible for Innovation and Technology (which include Health Tech, Smart city, Artificial Intellingence and Robotics, Information and Communications Technology), Financial Technology, and Startups.

He has worked for companies in the manufacturing, trading, financial services and banking sectors in Mauritius, Canada and Hong Kong. He speaks 6 languages and dialects and holds an MBA degree awarded jointly by the Business School of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University.

Prior to that, he worked at Rohatyn Group in Hong Kong and New York for 2 years. Between 2006-2009, he worked as Manager of Development Asia Pacific and MENA for Jumeirah Group in Dubai. He holds a bachelor's degree from London School of Economics and a MBA from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Thomas Deng is the Regional Chief Investment Officer & Chief China Strategist at UBS Global Wealth Management. He is based in Hong Kong, and serves as a member of the CIO Asia Investment Committee.

Thomas has over twenty years of investment, research and investment banking experience with a focus on China and the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining UBS, Thomas was CEO and Senior Strategist at a boutique China asset management firm. He was also Deputy CEO and Head of Investments at Invesco Great Wall Fund Management Company, with assets under management over USD10bn.

Before embarking on asset management, Thomas was a Managing Director and Chief China Strategist at the Global Investment Research division at Goldman Sachs during 2004-2010, where he was recognized as a leader in China equity research by both Asiamoney and Institutional Investor for many years. Thomas also served as Managing Director and Head of China Equity Markets at Goldman Sachs during 2010-2011, during which he managed several landmark transactions.

Prior to Goldman Sachs, Thomas covered PRC-related financials, conglomerates, and technology as a sector analyst at Credit Suisse and BNP Paribas. Thomas started his career as a FX dealer at CA Indosuez. Thomas became a CFA charterholder in 2000, and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors at the Harvard Business School Association of Hong Kong.
