The UBS Future of Finance Challenge 2019 is open to start-ups and established, growing companies that think they can change the way finance works and how banks meet their clients' needs – delivered this year in collaboration with Deloitte and 100% Open.

Innovative solution and tech enablement are becoming ever more important for the financial industry. By participating in our competition you can allow UBS and other banks to learn what you have to offer, with a possibility for future business opportunities.

Competition Updates

1. Change in dates

The Regional Finals in New York will now be held on October 29 and 30.

2. Challenge-based Regional Finals 

Each of the Regional Finals will focus on specific Challenges: 

a. The Zurich Regional Final will focus on the submissions for the "New digital rails & Tokenized Assets" Challenge

b. The Singapore Regional Final will focus on the submissions for the "Smart Risk Management" Challenge

c. The New York Regional Final will focus on the submissions for the "Deepening Client Relationships" and the "Foundation Setting: Technology Enablement" Challenges.

3. Grouping of Participants 

Participants will be grouped according to the Challenge for which their proposal was submitted.

Shortlisted finalists shall attend the relevant Regional Final depending on the Challenge for which their proposal was submitted. If a participant submitted proposals for multiple Challenges, and was shortlisted for more than one Challenge, the participant shall attend the relevant Challenge-based Regional Final(s).

4. Number of Finalists and Winners Each Challenge will have a maximum of ten (10) finalists and there will be one (1) winner per Challenge who will win a prize of USD 20,000.
