Ex-Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank CEO Dennis Lockart warns of FOMC reticence.

As inflation is firming the risk is for the FOMC to wait too long before taking more aggressive action, says Dennis P. Lockhart, former President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Lockhart was generally seen as a centrist during his 10 years as Atlanta Fed President from 2007- 2017. While he does not expect politics to influence Fed policy, the political heat could rise as the FOMC keeps tightening, which could become uncomfortable for some.
