The awards ceremony took place in London on July 9. In the words of Lukas Gähwiler, President Switzerland, UBS: "Winning the title of Best Bank in Switzerland for the fourth time in a row shows that our strategy is working. Over 21,000 people work for UBS in Switzerland. I would like to thank them all for making this honor possible through their hard work and commitment."
As well as winning the title of Best Bank in Switzerland, UBS was voted "Best Global Wealth Manager." Both distinctions show that UBS has been able to continue building on its leadership position, both as a universal bank in Switzerland and as a global wealth manager.
The annual Euromoney Awards for Excellence recognize the world's leading financial institutions and are among the banking sector's most prestigious accolades.
