Protection of Personal Data

Our desire is to preserve the security of your data. UBS Europe SE, French Branch, and all its staff and service providers endeavour to act with the utmost care and to implement the most stringent measures and procedures in order, in particular, to prevent any leakage, damage and/or fraudulent use of your data by unauthorized third parties. Your data will be transferred only as necessary for the processing for which it was collected, in the performance of our contractual obligations in respect of the mission you entrusted to us and/or in order to meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

In accordance with the amended Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, known as the "Data Protection Act", any data controller is obliged to inform, when dealing with personal data1, the persons concerned: i.e. persons to whom the processed data relates. This information relates to:

  • the identity of the controller,
  • the purpose of the treatment,
  • the addressee(s)2 of the data, if any,
  • the rights of the persons concerned,
  • any envisaged transfer of personal data destined to a non-member state of the European Union.

Persons concerned by a processing of personal data have the rights of access, rectification and opposition.

1 Personal data processing includes any operation or set of operations on such data, regardless of the method used, and in particular the collection, registration, organisation, conservation, adaptation or the modification, extraction, consultation, use, disclosure by supply, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, and the blocking, erasure or destruction.

2 The recipient of personal data processing is any person authorised to receive such data other than the data subject, the controller, the processor and persons who, by reason of their duties, are responsible for the processing of personal data. However, the authorities legally empowered to request the controller to communicate personal data to them, in the context of a particular task or the exercise of a right of communication, do not constitute recipients.
