The Global Investment Returns Yearbook 2026 draws on historical data dating back to 1900 and places today’s investment challenges and debates in a long‑term context.
The latest edition shows which factors have determined real asset returns over time and what lessons can be learned from them to navigate the future more effectively.
Launched by UBS Investment Bank and the Chief Investment Office of UBS Global Wealth Management, in partnership with Professor Paul Marsh and Dr. Mike Staunton of the London Business School as well as Professor Elroy Dimson of the University of Cambridge, the newest edition of the Global Investment Returns Yearbook is based on more than 125 years of historical data. It provides a valuable foundation for understanding the long‑term development of global financial markets.
