Head of Eastern Region: Oliver Meinschien
Oliver Meinschien joined UBS in 2025 as Head of the Eastern Region and is responsible for the Berlin office. He works closely with entrepreneurs in the region, particularly those from Berlin’s vibrant start-up scene.
In addition to his passion for the financial world and his commitment to further developing Berlin as a location, he spends a lot of time with his two children.
In his free time, Oliver is also an avid sports enthusiast – whether on the tennis court, mountain biking, or on multi-day hikes in the mountains. He also loves attending concerts and exploring Berlin’s museum scene.
The Berlin branch was opened in 1997 and is still the only branch in the new federal states. Oliver Meinschien and his team are the contact persons in Berlin - Germany's only metropolis - as well as Brandenburg for wealthy and demanding private clients/families as well as companies or foundations. The current team of eleven is characterized by excellent qualifications, consulting services, a high degree of discretion and its enormously broad network. In particular, the Berlin startup scene benefits from the skills of the UBS branch before, after and during individual placement phases in cooperation with the investment bank.
