UBS Passkey is used as a second authentication factor for accessing and signing on the bank's platforms. For security reasons, each passkey can be configured on only one mobile device (smartphone or tablet).

To set it up, you will need to use two devices: a computer and a smartphone or tablet; or two smartphones or tablets. The process is simple, secure, and takes less than 5 minutes to complete.

Step-by-step setup

Important: the link is valid for 24 hours from the time the email is received. If it has expired, please contact your Client Advisor to request a new one.

  2. After scanning the QR code, a link will appear. Tap the link to open it on your mobile device, then click “Set up your passkey.”
  3. Next, select your device’s default authentication method (Face ID, PIN, or fingerprint).
  4. A success message will be displayed on both your mobile device and your computer.

Done! Your device is now registered and can be used for authentication on UBS platforms going forward.
