Our history in Brazil began in 1953 with the opening of UBS’s first office in São Paulo. A few years later, in 1959, Credit Suisse also entered the country, inaugurating its first office in Rio de Janeiro.
Since then, both brands have strengthened their presence in the Brazilian market through the acquisition of local banks and brokerages, such as Banco Omega and Consenso by UBS, and Banco Garantia and Hedging‑Griffo by Credit Suisse. In 2023, UBS acquired Credit Suisse, joining forces to become the world’s largest bank specialized in Wealth Management¹.
This historic union in Brazil reflects a legacy of success across Wealth Management, Asset Management, and Investment Banking, delivering exclusive and tailored solutions for each client.
