Charlotte has been in the financial services industry for more than three decades. She was the first woman stockbroker hired by J. C. Bradford & Co., then the largest regional brokerage firm in the South, in their Nashville office. She subsequently became a Partner, where she remained until the firm was sold to Paine Webber, and then to UBS Financial Services. She has been recognized consistently as one of the firm’s top financial advisors, having been on the Senior Advisory Council and a member of the Pacesetter’s Club. She is well-known in the Nashville investment community, having written an investment column in the Nashville Banner, one of the two daily newspapers, for almost 20 years, as well as in other publications in Nashville and Sanibel Island, Florida. She has also appeared on numerous television and radio shows.
As a compassionate and relationship-oriented partner, Charlotte strives to understand everything she can about her clients’ lives and goals so she can provide them with the best solutions and strategies for their needs. She believes that open and honest communication, even in tough situations, is critical to long-term success. Charlotte also challenges herself and her team to continually gain more skills and knowledge. She believes that ongoing education is key to providing clients with the best possible insights and advice.
Outside of UBS, Charlotte and her team are passionate believers in giving back to the local community. She and the team support several organizations including Williamson County Animal Center, Belmont Mansion, Studio Tenn, a professional theater group, The Salvation Army, and Rocketown, which helps mentor at-risk teens. Charlotte graduated from Belmont University and was selected to be their first Alumni of the Year when they started that program. Charlotte has served on a number of boards including those of Belmont University Massey School of Business, the Nashville Symphony Guild, Rocketown, Studio Tenn, Community Concerts, and the Fannie Battle Day Home. In addition to Board Positions, Charlotte has chaired numerous Events for Fund Raising, most recently with Rocketown's Auction, Studio Tenn's One Night Only and their Auction which she help start 5 years ago. Lifelong animal lovers, she and her husband, Michael, raise alpacas on their farm, High Meadow, in Leipers Fork, which, at one time, was the largest alpaca farm in the South; and Charlotte served on the Southeastern Alpaca Association Board for eight years. Their extended farm family includes several cats, dogs, horses, donkeys, ducks, geese, swans and other animals in need of a good and loving home.
