Simon Pearson

Simon has been advising wealthy individuals and families in the North West for over 20 years having worked for Lloyds Bank in the city from 1988 and subsequently moving to UBS in May 2013. Simon is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and is a Chartered Wealth Manager, holding the Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice and Management. Simon is married and has one son.

Client Advisors

Client Advisors are responsible for looking after your wealth management needs, from helping to decide your overall wealth strategy through to advising on issues such as investment products and pension planning. As well as being your main contact at UBS Wealth Management, he or she will also be your gateway to the wider expertise of UBS, should you need specialist advice from our mortgage solutions team or help with selling your business, for instance.

Mark Mace

Mark has been advising wealthy individuals and corporate organisations in the UK for more than 20 years. Mark specialises in investment management and lending. Having worked previously with Barclays Wealth Mark joined UBS in February 2015. Mark is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and holds the Private Client Investment Advice and Management Diploma.

Rick Walker

Rick joined UBS in March 2013 and has over 20 years experience in the financial services industry providing advice to individuals, trusts and pension funds in the management of their investments. He previously worked at Brown Shipley and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Jane Booth

Jane specialises in advising wealthy entrepreneurs and their families across the North West. Jane joined UBS in November 2016 from Mills & Reeve LLP, where she was an Associate Solicitor advising on complex family law matters for high net worth individuals. As well as being a qualified Solicitor, Jane holds an LLB from The College of Law in Manchester and a Geography degree from Exeter University. Jane was the first person in the UK to be accepted onto the UBS Associate programme, aimed at experienced professionals with transferrable knowledge and skills. Jane is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and holds the Private Client Investment Advice and Management Certificate. Jane is a qualified skiing and sailing instructor and enjoys cycling in the Peak District.

Simeon Livesey

Simeon has worked in UK banking since graduating from university with first-class honours in 2004. He joined UBS in 2018 following five years with Coutts and has extensive experience working with wealthy individuals, families and business owners throughout the North West. He is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments, holding the Investment Advice Diploma. Simeon is passionate about philanthropy and collaborates with charities to improve the life chances of young people around Manchester. He is also a keen cyclist and runner.

Financial Planner

Financial Planners work as specialists alongside your UBS client advisor, providing bespoke financial planning advice. A team of Paraplanners and Administrators support our Financial Planners to efficiently execute this advice and, provide you with excellent client service, as well as access to other UBS resources. These resources can range from investment management to estate planning and corporate finance advice, in addition to specific wealth management products and services.

Michael Stirrup

Mike joined UBS in 2018 from Brown Shipley where he spent 10 years advising private clients on investment, estate and retirement planning. He is a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society; a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and also holds the Society of Trust and Estate Planners Certificate for financial services.

Client Advisor Assistants are an integral member of the team who will provide you with most of your day-to-day administrative support including payments, transfers and trades.

Amanda McNicol

Amanda joins UBS after 4 years at Coutts where she worked as both Team Assistant and Private Banking Assistant. Prior to that Amanda was at RBS for a total of 7 years having worked in Lombard Asset Finance for 3 years before joining Coutts.

Laura Jebb

Laura joined UBS in September 2017 following her career as a Mathematics teacher in Shropshire. Laura studied for a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics at Manchester Metropolitan University. Laura enjoys cooking, walking in the countryside and exploring new places.

Regional Strategic Partners – Business Development

Carl Darnill

Carl has over 25 years financial services experience. He began his career in mainstream banking before moving into financial planning and spent 8 years as an IFA working at a senior level within the financial planning subsidiaries of big 4 banks, both offshore in the Far East, before moving back onshore. Carl subsequently joined Coutts & Co specialising in working with UK resident, non-domiciled clients in Yorkshire and the North East. In addition to his banking and investment qualification Carl is a qualified trust and estate practitioner (TEP) and prior to joining UBS worked for a global trust business living in Zurich, Switzerland and the Isle of Man. Carl is focused on maintaining and enhancing relationships with our regional strategic partners plus developing new business relationships across Yorkshire and Lancashire. He is a member of the Personal Finance Society, Chartered Insurance Institute and Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Apprentice

Daniel Brint

Daniel joined UBS in November 2017 on our apprentice program. He is currently studying towards the CISI IOC - Introduction to Securities and Investment. Prior to joining UBS, Daniel completed A Levels in Economics; Business Studies and Physical Education at Sale Grammar School. He enjoys going to the gym as well as coaching and partaking in competitive swimming.
