Head of Distribution Partners Europe and Middle East
Rob Lay is Head of Distribution Partners Europe and Middle East at UBS Asset Management. In this pan-regional role, Rob is responsible for all aspects of the development of our wholesale fund distribution business across the region. This includes relationship management, business development, client servicing, product development and management, and marketing.
Rob joined UBS Asset Management in this role in early 2011. He has extensive experience in wholesale markets across Europe. Most recently Rob spent three years at Baring Asset Management as Head of UK, European and Middle Eastern Fund Sales, where he was responsible for mutual fund sales and business development to wholesale clients and distribution partners across the region. Prior to this, Rob was Head of International Business Development and Alternatives at Fidelity International, driving their wholesale and institutional sales efforts outside the US. Rob was previously Product Director for the Global Portfolios Group at JP Morgan Asset Management.

Rob Gambi is Global Head of Fixed Income at UBS Asset Management with overall responsibility for the Fixed Income business. His focus is on alpha generation and ensuring we meet client investment objectives. The role includes overseeing portfolio management, research, strategy and trading professionals worldwide.
Rob is a member of the UBS Asset Management Executive Committee.
Rob is also a member of the UBS Asset Management Fixed Income Investment Committee and he chairs the UBS Asset Management Fixed Income Management Committee.
Rob joined UBS Asset Management in 2006. Prior to this he took an extended period of leave, having previously been Head of Fixed Income at Henderson Global Investors. Since his career began in 1983, Rob has gained extensive experience at investment firms in both Sydney and London, including AMP and Legal & General.
Senior Research Analyst (Economics)
Joshua McCallum is a Senior Research Analyst, specialising in economic analysis, within the Fixed Income team. Based in London, Joshua is responsible for evaluating the impact of economic developments on fixed income markets.
Joshua joined UBS Asset Management in 2005. Prior to this he was head of the international economics unit at HM Treasury.
Curt Custard, CFA

Curt Custard joined UBS Asset Management in March 2008 as Head of Global Investment Solutions. He has responsibility for asset allocation, currency strategies, advisory services and developing integrated risk analysis and management capabilities for application throughout the business. He and his team set strategies for multi-asset and multi-currency portfolios.
Curt is a member of the UBS Asset Management Executive Committee.
Curt joined UBS from Schroders where he was Global Head of Multi-Asset Solutions, a position he held since 2004. This team operated three integrated business lines: multi-asset solutions, structured investments and multi-manager. Prior to this, Curt was CIO of the Multi-Asset and Balanced business of Allianz Global Investors in London. Curt was previously Head of Global Fixed Income at Dresdner RCM which was merged with AGI.
Grant M. Bughman

Grant is a member of the Growth Investors team. He is responsible for communicating the process, outlook, and positioning of the firm's growth equity capabilities to consultants, clients, and internal colleagues.
Prior to his current role, Grant was an investment consultant, managing the northern pacific region for UBS Asset Management.
Before joining the firm in 2005, Grant held roles focusing on distribution and marketing at SunAmerica Asset Management and as financial consultant with AXA.
Grant is NASD Series 7 and 66 registered.

James McLellan is head of the Thematic Equity Team. He manages the UBS (Lux) Equity Fund Mid Caps USA, the UBS (CH) Equity Fund Energy and the UBS (Lux) Equity fund Energy.
James' career in the Investment Management industry began in 1991, joining Cresvale Securities in London as an Assistant Fund Manager for UK Equity portfolios. In 1994 he moved to Insight Investment as a Latin American Fund Manager, where he also managed Japanese Equity portfolios. He became US Fund Manager for the same company in 1997 and this remained his specialization until he left the company in 2003.
He joined UBS Asset Management in 2004.
James is an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals.
Urs Antonioli, CFA
Head of EM EMEA & Latin America Equities
Urs Antonioli heads investment management and research for Emerging Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. He manages a team of analysts researching companies, industries and countries in the above region.
Urs is a member of the UBS Asset Management Emerging Markets Strategy Committee.
Urs began his financial career by joining the UBS Zurich graduate training programme in 1994. In 1995 he moved to UBS Asset Management to launch and manage the first UBS emerging market fund investing in Eastern European countries. From 1996 to 2000, his responsibilities comprised management of all Eastern European portfolios managed at UBS. He has spent more than eight years in research activities, specializing in energy, telecommunications, basic materials and the technology sector. He took up his present position in August 2001.
Bin Shi, CFA

Bin Shi is a member of the Global Emerging Market and Asia Pacific Equities team, located in Hong Kong. He is Country Analyst and Portfolio Manager for China with a focus on Chinese stocks listed on both the overseas and domestic Chinese stock exchanges.
Prior to joining UBS Asset Management, Bin spent three years as Head of Int'l Business, portfolio manager and analyst with Boshi Fund Management Co., one of the largest domestic mutual fund companies in China. Prior to that, he worked in the US for eight years as portfolio manager and analyst for several US mutual fund firms.
Projit Chatterjee, CFA
Equity Strategist, Global Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific Equities
Projit Chatterjee is an Equity Strategist within the Global Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific Equities team. He is also a member of the Global Emerging Markets Strategy Committee and is based in the Singapore office.
Projit has primary responsibility for overall product positioning and development of Emerging Markets and Asian Equity strategies, as well as marketing and communication of these strategies to existing and prospective clients globally.
Prior to this, Projit led an acquisition project in the Indian market.
Projit joined UBS in 1997 as a Corporate Finance Analyst with UBS Investment Bank in Mumbai, India. In 1999, he moved to UBS Asset Management in Zurich to work in Strategic Projects, International Fund Marketing. In Zurich, Projit held various roles in the areas of strategic business development, business management and investment solutions.
Senior Investment Specialist, Fixed Income
Ashley Perrott is a member of the Global Fixed Income capability management team, with specific responsibility for the Asia Pacific region. He is responsible for communicating the firm's fixed income strategies to clients and consultants, as well as identifying new fixed income solutions to meet client needs. Ashley is also part of the Asian fixed income strategy team.
Prior to joining UBS Asset Management in 2004, Ashley gained extensive fund management experience covering a wide variety of investment markets and products through portfolio management and client management roles. He was an Investment Director at Westpac Investment Management where his team was responsible for the management of cash and fixed interest funds. Ashley has also previously worked in senior fixed income investment management roles at Barclays Global Investors for three years and with AMP Investments for over 10 years both in Australia and London.
Senior Portfolio Manager
Alain Eckmann is a Senior Portfolio Manager within the Asymmetric Portfolio Solutions team. He is responsible worldwide for the convertible bond capability within UBS AM, which he helped to build up. The managed funds won several "Lipper" & "uro am Sonntag" fund awards.
Alain joined the Asymmetric Portfolio Solutions team in 1997. His responsibilities included managing and enhancing the capabilities offered (capital preservations, currency overlay, Dynamic Alpha), and developing tailored client solutions.
During his studies, Alain worked for a private bank in Geneva, dealing with quantitative questions in asset management. After graduation, he built up a risk-management/risk-controlling department at Julius Baer in Zurich, developing mathematical methods to quantify market risks (VaR, etc).
Alain is co-author of the publications "Exotic Options: A guide through the jungle of financial innovations" and "The benefits of convertible bonds" and has repeatedly published on convert related matters in financial newspapers. He is also a regular speaker at international conferences and, in addition, he is a member of the Swiss CFA Society and of the CFA Institute.
Uta Fehm, DVFA/CEFA
Senior Portfolio Manager
Uta Fehm is responsible for managing fixed-income portfolios, which are invested in emerging-market bonds and currencies. She also analyses emerging-market debt, with a focus on Africa/Middle East
Uta is responsible for EMD Portfolio Strategy, provides business analysis and manages the development of emerging market products.
Uta joined Deutsche Asset Management in Frankfurt in 1995 in the Client Relations department. Two years later, she moved to the Fixed Income Portfolio Management team. Since 1999, she has specialised in emerging-market debt management and has managed several institutional fixed-income mandates in this asset class. She joined UBS Asset Management (Deutschland) GmbH in her present position in July 2004.
