The following is the list of measures we have taken to safeguard against various security risks:
256-bit Secure-Socket Layer (SSL) Encryption
All data transferred between you and UBS e-banking will be "scrambled" (encrypted) into an unrecognizable form before it is sent out onto the Internet. This protects your confidentiality even if the data is intercepted in the Internet in an unauthorized manner.
UBS e-banking uses a Verisign Extended Verification digital certificate. Verisign is one of the most-established companies that issue digital certificates. Digital certificates are presented to your browser when you access the UBS e-banking page. This allows you to verify the authenticity of the page you are accessing. You can ensure that the page you are accessing is authentic (i.e. really from UBS and not anyone else) by checking your Web browser properties (usually displayed as a padlock icon) and confirming that the digital certificate is issued to UBS AG by Verisign.
You will enjoy the benefit of high security standards with the Access Card login:
- The login information on your Access Card Display is protected and cannot be copied.
- Your login information is transmitted in an encrypted form.
- Unauthorised or fraudulent card use is prevented by blocking the Access card after 3 incorrect PIN entries. The PIN and Access Card cannot be reactivated and will need to be replaced.
Automatic Time Out
If there has been no activity in your logged in session for more than 10 minutes, your session will be automatically terminated to protect against any unauthorized access to your account.
Track Last Login
UBS e-banking tracks your last login date and time. This allows you to check whether there has been any unauthorized access to your account.
Monitoring of Irregularities
A dedicated UBS Internet Security Team monitors for any system irregularities and intrusion attempts.
