Our 10 years anniversary

UBS Poland Alumni Initiative

UBS Poland (Employee &) Alumni Initiative aims to connect. We want to enable both former and current employees to network and share their knowledge and experience. We are organizing events and meetings in Krakow city center and we hope that you will find proposed topics interesting.

During meetings we share news, updates, and discussing interesting topics related to the finance industry. And we’re always expanding our network of contacts. Grow your network with us and develop your career.

We hope to see you soon!

Our upcoming UBS Poland Alumni Event in November

It was great to host so many participants during our first Alumni meeting. This time we go for: Innovation, blockchain and the future of the banking industry.

We're looking forward to see you again!

Upcoming events:

November 23rd, 2017, 18.30, Radisson Blu, Krakow

Past events:
May 18, 2017
During the event held in May, you've had the unique opportunity to hear from two Senior Leaders of UBS in Poland – Michal Stepien, UBS Country Head Poland and Derek Smith, former Head of UBS Business Solutions Center in Krakow and currently global Head of ONO Governance.

Michal and Derek shared their thoughts on the journey that UBS Poland has travelled over the past 10 years: from the initial days to the current state and then offer perspectives on the future of the shared services industry, in general and of UBS, in particular. The session was moderated by Bartek Ostrowski, Head of Finance at UBS in Poland.

Guest Speakers in November

For our next exclusive Alumni event, we have another interesting topic to discuss, this time, about the future of the banking industry, alongside our blockchain SME’s, Radoslaw Czyrnek and Robert Jones.

They will introduce and discuss the innovation work that is taking place at UBS, with a specific focus on the work regarding distributed ledgers and blockchain, including why UBS has an interest in Bitcoin, how the UBS distributed ledger lab works and, also, having a closer look at a few of UBS's projects.

The session will be moderated by Bartek Ostrowski, Head of Finance at UBS in Poland.
