Zagreb

Croatia is known for pebble beaches along the Adriatic coast and hip party islands that are almost impossible to pronounce (try to say Zrce Beach and Hvar). Compared to them, Zagreb comes across as rather quiet and unassuming. It is safe and small and offers entertainment for families, along with parks for recreation. Situated beneath Mount Medvednica, its inhabitants enjoy hiking in summer and skiing in winter. The local music scene is known for its distinctive Balkan folk sounds.
