Shanghai

Saying that Shanghai is huge would be a grave understatement. The more than 24 million people crowded into the city limits have won it the title of the most populous city in the world. Walking down the famous Bund Waterfront can humble the visitor as, on the opposite side of the Huangpu River, illustrious skyscrapers rise by the dozen and continue to be erected at a dizzying pace. Shanghai-style meat dumplings (Xiaolongbao) are the city's biggest culinary export and can be found in food markets and Asian restaurants worldwide.
