Nicosia

The capital of Cyprus has a rich history dating back to the Bronze Age. It was under Ottoman rule and British administration until 1960. Today, it is a divided city, with a Turkish half in the north and a Cypriot southern part. Overlooked by many tourists who stay in beach resorts around the island is a great deal of culture that can be found in the numerous museums around town.
