New York

This cosmopolitan metropolis has inspired many nicknames in its history, not least The Big Apple and The City That Never Sleeps. Businesspeople from around the world meet for power lunches in glitzy high-rise glass-and-steel buildings in midtown Manhattan. The art crowd congregates at Soho galleries with cast-iron facades. And hipsters, local and lured in from the provinces, gather at Brooklyn craft-beer bars constructed of heavy brick. The city pulses with life in all its boroughs and there is something to see (and love) for everyone. Observing this concrete jungle from the top of One World Trade Center is intimidating and inspiring at the same time.
