Mumbai

Located on the Konkan coast of the Maharashtra region, India's largest city is home to more than 12.4 million inhabitants. It is the birthplace of Indian cinema, more famously known as Bollywood – a portmanteau of Bombay (the city's former name) and Hollywood (in Los Angeles). The Gateway of India is a must-see, as is the Crawford Market, where tourists can smell and taste the exotic spices of Indian cuisine. A stop at the Taj Mahal Palace landmark hotel with its 600+ rooms completes the trip.
