Doha

Located on the coast of the Persian Gulf, the capital city of the small but wealthy state of Qatar has a postcard appearance of palm trees, turquoise waters and a skyscraper-dotted skyline. It has grown continuously in the past decade and shows no signs of slowing down, as local authorities make massive investments in local infrastructure. As a city, it’s a mix of modern malls, traditional souks and ambitious architecture that will host the world cup in 2022.
