UBS Mobile Banking Ready to go in 8 steps

With UBS Mobile Banking, you can carry out your banking transactions whenever and wherever you want. We show you how in 8 simple steps.

 

Step 1

Download the app and carry out your banking transactions whenever and wherever you want.

The Mobile Banking app for smartphones lets you keep your assets, your accounts and your credit cards under control. Follow these steps to use Mobile Banking:

1. Download the UBS Mobile Banking app for Android or iOS to your smartphone.

2. Log in to the Mobile Banking app with the Access Card and card reader.

3. Follow the instructions in the Mobile Banking app.

For smartphones such as the Windows Phone or Blackberry, UBS Mobile Banking is available as a Web App at www.ubs.com/webapp.


Step 2

Using the UBS Access app: the secure and easy login for Mobile Banking

Log in to Mobile Banking securely and conveniently via smartphone and use all the functions of the Mobile Banking app.

Activating the Access app:

  1. Download the Access app to your smartphone
  2. Follow the instructions in the app

Step 3

Activate the chosen accounts for the app

See all the information you need about your accounts and account movements at first glance.

Choose the accounts, custody accounts and portfolios you want to be able to access in the app under "Offerings > Mobile Banking" in e-banking.


Step 4

Activate your cards in e-banking so that they will be shown in the app

The Mobile Banking app gives you information about your credit and prepaid card transactions and the amount still available on your cards for the current month.

You can activate your cards in e-banking under "Cards > Administration > Activate card".


Also good to know

You can block lost or stolen credit, debit or prepaid cards in the Mobile app without having to make expensive phone calls under "Cards". A replacement card will be ordered automatically.

If you lose your PIN, you can request a new PIN free of charge under "Cards > Service > Credit and prepaid cards > Order PIN code".

You can increase or lower the monthly or daily limit of your UBS Debit Card V Pay or Maestro under "Cards > Service > Debit cards".

Define the geographical region in which your UBS Maestro Card can be used (worldwide, in Europe or only in Switzerland and Liechtenstein). This reduces the risk of card misuse. Under "Cards > Service > Debit cards".


Step 5

Activate Push notifications to receive information about account movements

On request, UBS Mobile Banking will inform you about account movements automatically by Push notifications. Activate Push notifications under "Menu > Push notifications".

For instance you can set up notifications for the following:

  • Debits and credits to your account
  • If the balance in your account falls below or exceeds a certain amount
  • Credit and prepaid card transactions
  • The status of payments and stock exchange orders
  • Budget items you have used up in the PFA

Step 6

Activate the PFA in e-banking and keep an overview of your expenses , even in the app

The Personal Financial Assistant (PFA) lets you see exactly where your money goes and where you could make savings. To give you an overview, expenses are automatically assigned to different categories. You can activate the Personal Financial Assistant in e-banking under "Budget".

In Mobile Banking you can see an overview under "Personal Financial Assistant".

If expenses are not automatically assigned to a category, you can sort them directly under "Personal Financial Assistant > Non-categorized transactions".


Also good to know

You can check the annual or monthly budget you have defined at any time in the Personal Financial Assistant (PFA). You can also receive Push notifications that warn you if you have used up 70, or even 100 percent of a specific expense category. You can set up this service directly in the app under "Push notifications > Manage rules".


Step 7

Carry out account transfers quickly and easily in the app

With Mobile Banking you can transfer money between your accounts under "Payments > Account transfer". For instance you can transfer your savings directly from your personal account to your savings account.


Step 8

Use UBS Quotes to get up-to-date information about the financial markets

UBS Quotes gives you news about international financial markets as well as financial data and research information. You can find the latest Euro exchange rate at any time for example at "UBS Quotes >Foreign currency converter". Or you can create a virtual portfolio at "Quotes>Virtual portfolio", to try out different investment strategies risk-free.
