Global Chief Economist, UBS Wealth Management

Paul joined UBS Wealth Management in August 2016, and is the Global Chief Economist. He is a member of the Global Investment Committee, a UBS Opinion Leader, a sponsor of UBS Speak Up, and a UBS Pride Ally. Paul is responsible for developing and presenting the UBS economic outlook, marketing the UBS view on economics, policy and politics around the world. He appears regularly in the print and broadcast media. Paul started at UBS Investment Bank as an intern in 1992, and was Global Economist.

Paul has an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University. He is an Honorary Fellow of St Anne’s College, Oxford, sitting on its investment committee, and is a member of the Vice-Chancellor’s Circle of Oxford. He holds an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of London. Paul is also a co-founder of the Peter Culverhouse Memorial Trust (a cancer research and patient care charity). He is an amateur heavyweight boxer and keen skier.

Paul co-authored 'From Red to Green? How the financial credit crunch could bankrupt the environment' with Julie Hudson, which was published in August 2011. 'Food Policy and the Environmental Credit Crunch: From Soup to Nuts', also co-authored with Julie, was published in September 2013.

Paul contributed to 'How the world really works: the economy', a children’s guide to economics, which was published in May 2014. His book 'The Truth About Inflation' was published in April 2015.

Head of European Investment Office, UBS Wealth Management

Themis is a Managing Director and the Head of the European Investment Office and a member of Global Investment Committee at UBS Wealth Management. He is responsible for European research across all asset classes, including Equities, Credit and FX.

Themis joined Wealth Management in March 2014 from UBS Investment bank, where he spend over 20 years.
From August 2008 – Feb 2014 Themis was a member of the Management committee of the European Equity Research, with direct responsibility for Emerging EMEA Research and European Product Management.

Themis joined UBS in 1993 in South Africa as an equity analyst and moved to London in 1998 covering European Chemicals and also coordinating the UBS Global Chemicals research. He was appointed Sector Head for European Chemicals team in 2004 and he quickly moved the team up the client rankings and achieved the number one spot in external surveys by 2006, a spot that was retained right through his leadership of the team.

Tim Cobb has held senior media and communications roles at UBS for the last six years across Wealth Management, Asia Pacific and Group External Communications.

He has 25 years experience working with global financial services companies such as Merrill Lynch, American Express and Barclays and has lived and worked in the US, UK, Europe and Asia.

Tim has a degree in Business Administration from Trinity University and a Masters in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management. He has dual US/UK nationality.
