Thoughts Worth Sharing

The emerging millennial generation of future leaders is rewriting the rules of economics. These new entrepreneurs want to transform the way we do business by impacting our lives rather than just making a quick financial gain. Women are a growing force in investment and entrepreneurship. As the roles and responsibilities of modern entrepreneurs evolve, so do the key success factors for investments – presenting new challenges on how best to manage wealth. Wealth has traditionally been defined as the accumulation of assets to generate profits for future generations. It was seen primarily as a means of preserving purchasing power.

Today, by contrast, wealth is driven increasingly by personal values, through investments that make a difference in the world. In particular, investments that have an impact on the environment, improved and more accessible education and health care, along with compelling returns; these have become the new growth engines of capital. It is vital we adjust to these trends, as they now play an essential role in building and managing wealth.

'Thoughts Worth Sharing' is an exclusive platform created by UBS to share our thought-leading context, and encourage a healthy exchange of perspectives between opinion leaders and you. 'Thoughts Worth Sharing' encompasses a wide variety of topics covering future trends which may impact investments – and is meant to prepare and inspire you to stay one step ahead of these emerging trends.

Our first event of the Thoughts Worth Sharing platform in Israel brought together thought leaders and experts including Paul Donovan, Dr. Mara Harvey, Rina Kupferschmid-Rojas, Dr. Giora Yaron, Dr. Shlomo Markel, Prof. Gal Markel, and many more. They addressed topics related to technology, gender equality, sustainable investments and the economy. The event also included an interactive session with Joanna Landau, Yali Harari, Liat Mordechay Hertanu and Lee Rubin led by Dr. Mara Harvey. The discussion revolved around the topic of female Israeli entrepreneurs, their sources of inspiration, their biggest challenges and best practices. Fresh Paint

Contemporary art is in our DNA, and we want to nurture the next generation of talented working artists. That's why we're a long-time supporter of the prestigious art events, including Fresh Paint, Contemporary Art Fair. The fair takes place every year in a surprising new venue in Tel Aviv, the beating heart of the Israeli art world. As main partner of Fresh Paint since 2013, we are delighted to participate in Israel’s largest and most influential annual art event. As a collector, supporting artists and galleries is very important to us. Fresh Paint provides a vital platform for young artists and contemporary art collectors to come together, enabling Israeli art to be accessible to thousands of people. Forbes Israel has been building a unique community of inspiring young entrepreneurs, start-ups, social leaders, artists and others. Israel's list has a special place in the world. Being the Startup Nation, they have dedicated a special list of 30 under 30 youngsters that are the next generation of Israel's – and many times the world's – most prominent tech entrepreneurs. In addition, they've comprised a separate list of under 30 young people that are leaders in other fields. UBS proudly supports the under 30 list.
