This story begins back in 2015, when the United Nations set out a plan for transforming our world by 2030. They introduced 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aimed at addressing the most pressing social and environmental challenges of our time. And in 2016, UBS joined the initiative by making a pledge – to use our financial strength to help build a better tomorrow.

What percentage of the world's workers live below the international poverty line of USD 1.90 per day
In 2016, just under 10% of the world's workers were living with their families below the international poverty line of USD 1.90 per person per day. But in the least developed countries 1 nearly 38% of workers were living below the poverty line. This brings us to SDG 1: no poverty. See how UBS is helping to support this objective:
