In the UK hotel sector revenue per average room (RevPAR) was down -82.8% last week vs. an -83.7% decline the previous week (comp 2019 +5.6%). London underperformed the other UK regions, with UK ex London RevPAR down -80.7%.

European revenue per available room (RevPAR) -86.7% (prev. week -90.7%) for the week ending 30th May

STR reported -86.7% (previous week -90.7%, comp 2019 +5.1%) in European RevPAR for the week ended 30th May (in reported currency), with occupancy -80.4% and ADR -32.0%. The 28-day moving average RevPAR growth for Europe was -89.5% (previous week -90.5%). Europe is -47.6% on a weekly YTD average.

Midscale and economy outperformed in Europe and in the UK

For Europe, M&E RevPAR was -83.2% in reported currency (previous week -87.7%, comp 2019 +4.3%) with occupancy -77.0% and ADR -26.7% versus 28-day MA RevPAR of -86.6% (previous week -87.2%). For the UK M&E segment, RevPAR was -76.1% (previous week -77.6%, comp 2019 +3.7%) with occupancy -65.8% and ADR -30.3%. The UK M&E 28-day MA was -76.9% vs previous week -76.8%. On a weekly YTD average, UK M&E segment is -40.6%.

London underperformed the other UK regions last week

UK RevPAR was -82.8% (previous week -83.7%, comp 2019 +5.6%) with occupancy -71.9% and ADR -38.7%. The 28-day moving average RevPAR growth in the UK is now -82.9% (-82.7% previous week). The UK is -43.5% on a weekly YTD average. For the week ended 30th May UK ex London came in at -80.7% (previous week -81.2%, comp 2019 +2.1%) with occupancy -71.4% and ADR -32.3%, while the 28-day MA was -80.6% vs previous week -80.1%.

France down -90.6% with Paris down -99.0%

"Olakala Destination" data shows France RevPAR growth -90.6% (previous week -94.7%, comp 2019 -12.2%), with Paris -99.0% (-99.4% previous week, comp 2019 -12.2%). On a weekly YTD average, France is -49.2% and Paris is -49.5%
