After signing the recent stimulus bill, President Trump commented that the next phase of recovery should include up to $2t for roads, bridges, and other infrastructure.

  • Of the over 700k bridges UBS Evidence Lab analyzed, 18% of were determined by engineers to be functionally obsolete or structurally deficient.
  • These bridges had a total repair cost of $162bn.
  • Analysis of the total cost of repair, along with daily traffic on those bridges, shows that New York has the highest repair cost, followed by Massachusetts, California and Arizona.
