Consumer Which brands are most popular on Amazon, and which are most frequently unavailable?

UBS Evidence Lab tracks which products and brands are most popular with Amazon shoppers in the US, along with which categories have the highest share of products that are unavailable for purchase.

  • Toilet paper, disinfecting wipes, and peanut butter remain among the categories with the most products unavailable for purchase. Women's shaving has among the fewest such products. 
  • In the toilet paper & wipes category, the most popular brand is Cottonelle, followed by Scott, Angel Soft, and Charmin.
  • All brands in this category saw a decline in their share of the top 100 starting in mid-March, after consumers began to stockpile certain goods.
  • The most popular women's shaving brand is Gillette Venus, followed by Schick, BIC, and Amazon brand Solimo.
