COVID-19 has led to a shortage of ICU beds in many areas. The chart shows the number of new cases (2-week rolling average) per ICU bed in some states that have begun opening up.

  • The number appears to have levelled off in Texas has been trending down in Florida.
  • Tennessee and Minnesota were experiencing a steep increase in cases per bed as of May 2.
