Covid-19 movement restrictions have led people to spend much more time at home and engage in bandwidth-intensive activities like video streaming and gaming, putting stress on broadband and mobile networks.
- China appears to be doing better than the rest of the world: Wuhan and Shanghai were the only cities examined to see month-on-month improvement in both broadband and mobile latency.
- Wuhan and Shanghai have also seen the greatest increase in mobile download speeds.
