To limit the spread of Covid-19, governments around the world have taken measures to limit movement of people. Though the extent of these measures has differed, use of public transit has declined almost everywhere.

  • Transit use in London and New York declined sharply before leveling off.
  • The decrease in Tokyo's ridership has been more gradual.
