The weekly run breaks up the work day/week. Apart from the very well organized logistics (refreshments, bag deposit, etc.), I feel that it's the spirit of UBS coming together for the run that makes this much more enjoyable than jogging alone.

As part of the "UBS Singapore – Together we can" initiative, we recently launched the inaugural UBS Marina Bay Run, a weekly running /speed walking session to encourage healthier living amongst employees.

Led by the Singapore Management Committee, over 200 of our Singapore employees gathered at the Customs House Terrace on October 10th as the senior management team flagged off the first session of the UBS Marina Bay Run.

This is the first of a series of health and wellness initiatives designed to create a supportive culture where staff are empowered to make healthy choices a way of life.

Teo Lay Sie, Group Operating Officer, Head of Group Operating Officers, Asia Pacific, said, "UBS Singapore has been a strong proponent of healthy living and we hope that through UBS Marina Bay Run, it creates a platform for employees to have fun whilst working towards healthy living."

The weekly runs have received lots of positive feedback and many employees commented that they look forward to these weekly sessions.

"The weekly runs along Marina Bay during the sunset are a perfect way to end a challenging work day. Not only is it a healthy activity, it is also an enjoyable way to bond with the team outside of work! Moreover, I am also impressed by the amount of effort UBS puts into organizing this weekly affair, from the refreshments to the ushers stationed along the route, kudos to the team!"- Mayer Tung

"Thank you UBS for organizing such a wonderful event – this is really an activity I look forward to unwinding down after a day of work!"- Rachel Yong
