Up close and personal at the world's premier art shows

Art Basel is an international art show that is staged every year in Basel, Miami Beach and Hong Kong.

About Art Basel

Art Basel is the most important event in the modern and contemporary art calendar. More than 300 galleries from all continents come together to represent more than 2,500 artists – from early 20th century classics to the most contemporary.

Art Basel presents art from all around the world, and showcases them to a hungry art public. Aside from the main fair, we are also involved with the unique platform Unlimited, which supports artists who want to realize highly original and ambitious art pieces. These can be spectacular or subtle, but they are always significant in their size.

The Art Basel and UBS Global Art Market Report

'The Art Market Report 2018' co-published by UBS and Art Basel is authored by renowned cultural economist Dr Clare McAndrew, and integrates strands of research from UBS and its Chief Investment Office. A comprehensive and macro-level analysis of today's international art market, the report covers key trends in the market in the context of wider economic shifts.

"The performance of today's growing and globalized art market is a fascinating reflection of wider economic trends and highly correlated with GDP and HNW populations. Collecting is a passion that we share with many of our clients. This collaboration with Dr Clare McAndrew and Art Basel is a natural fit for our ongoing commitment to the research and analysis of markets and economic data for our clients."
