Zurich/Basel, 12 December 2013 – UBS clients can now carry out their banking transactions on the fully redesigned e-banking platform. Users can customize their start page to suit their individual needs and take advantage of simplified, intuitive navigation as well as fast access to financial market data. The Personal Financial Assistant is a particularly innovative feature. It helps private clients to keep an eye on their expenses and set up budgets. The phased roll-out of new UBS e-banking platform started on 25 November. By mid-December, the new UBS e-banking platform will be available for all 1.3 million UBS users in Switzerland.

The most important functions of the new UBS e-banking platform

Simplified navigation, individual choice of start page
Clients can see the most important information at a glance on an individual start page of their choice. Thanks to simplified navigation and direct access to the most important functions, they can carry out their banking transactions even more quickly and more intuitively.

Personal Financial Assistant: See where your money goes.
This new function helps private clients to analyze and sort their expenses into categories as well as giving them advice on setting up budgets. It is also possible to set individual saving goals. The Personal Financial Assistant learns as it goes along so that it can help clients more effectively. The new Personal Financial Assistant function will also be available soon on the UBS mobile banking app.

Comprehensive notification service
Thanks to the comprehensive notification service, clients can decide for themselves what they want to be informed about via SMS or e-mail: account transactions, the balance of their accounts, credit card purchases and amounts still available, the status of payments and stock exchange orders or incoming messages in their personal mailbox in UBS e-banking. Clients can also send their advisor secure messages or request a phone call using the callback function.

Fast access to financial market data
The new UBS Quotes function provides clients with a practical overview of the latest developments on the financial markets and gives them fast access to the financial information they really need. They can also decide to set up a virtual portfolio and try out different investment strategies without taking any risks.

Open accounts and order cards online
The new UBS e-banking platform also lets clients open various accounts online. They can currently choose between personal and savings accounts, current accounts and products for retirement savings in pillar 3a or 3b. Clients can also order debit, credit and prepaid cards quickly and easily.

UBS Mobile Banking – the bank that's always with you

UBS introduced the new Mobile Banking app back in July. It is available for both iOS and android smartphones. In addition to the usual functions such as checking credits, debits and the balance of their accounts, the app now enables clients execute payments directly and consult financial information or trade securities with UBS Quotes. The app also provides clients with information about all their credit and prepaid card purchases. The app was recently awarded a bronze in the business category of the “Best of Swiss Apps Awards”.
