UBS Investment Bank appoints Sally Ng as Joint Head of Asian Banking Research
Sally NG has been appointed Joint Head of Asian Banking Research alongside John WADLE who has headed banking research in Asia at UBS since early 2001. Ng will assume direct responsibility for Hong Kong and China.
"Sally has in excess of nine years experience in research, most of it in the banking sector, and comes highly commended by our clients. One of her mandates is to help boost UBS's regional banking product as well as theme pieces. I am confident that she will strengthen our already highly-regarded global banking research," noted Michael OERTLI, Head of Asian Research.
Previously Head of Banking Research at Deutsche Bank, where most recently she was responsible for regional bank strategy, Ng was also a key member of the Financial Institutions Research Group focusing on China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Before joining Deutsche Bank in November 1999, she was senior analyst for Singapore/Malaysian banks at Indosuez WI Carr in Singapore. Before that, she was an analyst focusing on regional insurance, Malaysian conglomerates and consumer stocks at Indosuez WI Carr Securities in Malaysia.
Her appointment becomes effective on 6th October.
