David A. Handler and David P. St. Jean to join UBS' Global Technology Investment Banking Sector

UBS announced today that David A. Handler and David P. St Jean will join its Investment Banking Division as Managing Directors in the Global Technology sector. Mr. Handler will be based in New York while Mr. St. Jean will be based in Los Angeles. Both will report to Ian Pereira and Brian Webber, Americas Co-heads of the Global Technology Sector.

In their new roles, Mssrs. Handler and St. Jean will be responsible for the coverage of clients in the Telecommunications Equipment sector. Both Handler and St. Jean will join from Bear Stearns where they are Senior Managing Directors and Co-head the Global Communications Technology practice area.

"I'm very happy that two bankers with the qualifications and expertise that David and David possess have decided to join UBS," said Webber. "Having competed against them on various transactions, I'm looking forward to them working with our key clients in the telecom equipment sector," said Pereira.

Mr. Handler attended the Stern School of Business at New York University where he earned his B.S. in Marketing in 1988 and his MBA in 1990. Since 1998, Mr. Handler has been a member of the Board of Directors and a member of the Executive Committee of the New Group, a highly regarded non-profit organization which promotes arts in New York City.

Mr. St. Jean graduated with a B.A with high honors from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1982. He earned his MBA from the University of California at Berkley in 1987. Mr. St. Jean started his career in 1982 with Arthur Andersen & Company. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
