James M. Neissa to Join UBS Warburg as Co-Head of Mergers and Acquistions in the Americas
UBS Warburg announced today that James M. Neissa will join the firm as co-head of Mergers and Acquisitions in the Americas. Neissa, who will be co-head with Rick Leaman, will be a managing director and report to Kenneth D. Moelis and Robert A. Hotz, co-heads of Investment Banking in the Americas. Currently based in London, Neissa will be located in New York at UBS Warburg.
Mr. Neissa will join UBS Warburg from Credit Suisse First Boston where he was co-head of European M&A following the firm's merger with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Prior to that, Mr. Neissa was co-head of European M&A for DLJ since 1999. Before moving to Europe, Mr. Neissa was based in New York where he oversaw some of DLJ's most important M&A transactions in a range of industries, including technology, media and consumer products. He joined DLJ in 1991.
"We are thrilled to have Jimmy join our team and I look forward to having a partner of his caliber as we build our M&A effort in the Americas," said Leaman. "His hiring is yet another indicator of the firm's growing momentum as he joins Ken Moelis, formerly co-head of Investment Banking in the Americas for Credit Suisse First Boston, Jeff Sine, formerly global co-head head of Morgan Stanley's Media and Communications investment banking group, and Jeff McDermott, formerly head of the Industrial group at Salomon Smith Barney. We intend to make UBS Warburg the firm of choice for entrepreneurial, client-driven investment bankers."
