UBS publishes updated timeseries showing historical financial information reflecting the transfer of the legacy portfolio from the Investment Bank to the Corporate Center

Zurich/Basel Investor Releases

Zurich/Basel, 26 March 2012 – At its Investor Day in November 2011, UBS announced its intention to identify a portfolio of legacy assets and separate it from its core Investment Bank by transferring management responsibility to the Corporate Center. On 30 December 2011, this transfer occurred, and a Corporate Center management and oversight framework for the legacy portfolio was established.

Today, UBS publishes updated timeseries containing historical financial information for the Investment Bank and the Corporate Center reflecting the legacy portfolio transfer. For more details on the legacy portfolio transfer refer to page 14 of the Fourth Quarter 2011 Report.

Corporate Center

Together with the option to buy the equity of the SNB StabFund, the legacy portfolio will be reported as a separate segment in the Corporate Center beginning with the first quarter of 2012.

Investment Bank

Accordingly, starting with the first quarter of 2012 the Investment Bank's reporting will exclude the impact of the legacy portfolio.

The timeseries of financial information for UBS and its business divisions can be found at The numbers contained in these updated timeseries are unaudited.
