The traditional Finance Forum "Charity Run" took place in Zurich on Sunday, November 6, 2011, for the eleventh time. UBS was represented by 107 runners and raised a total of around CHF 28,000. The full amount raised will be donated to hiki, an association for children with brain damage.
A total of 1,323 runners took part in this year's Finance Forum "Charity Run" to raise money for a good cause through sport. In sunshine and pleasant temperatures, the runners circuited along Zurich's lakeside promenade. UBS was represented by a team of 107 runners. Thanks to their personal and active commitment, the UBS employees completed 1,827 laps in just two hours, a total distance of around 1,500 km. UBS sponsored CHF 15 for each lap, raising a grand total of CHF 28,000.
The money raised goes to a different charitable organization each year. hiki, the organization supported this year, advises and supports families of brain-damaged children on coping with everyday life and in the search for a suitable school or treatment.
