Online application tips

With a few exceptions, all applications must be submitted online through this website using the online application process. Here are some tips.

Follow the instructions: Easy-to-follow on-screen instructions will lead you through the application process. There are up to five stages for you to complete: personal details, education, work experience, languages and skills, and additional information.

Take your time: Completing your application will take a while, so it's a good idea to give yourself plenty of time. You don't have to do it all in one sitting. You can stop at any time and save your application in draft form to complete later. But don't wait too long, as your draft will only be saved for a 30 days. We are not able to see your application while it’s in draft format. In other words, don’t worry if it’s sloppy or incomplete at first; no one is looking over your shoulder. However, please be sure to finalize and submit it when you’re ready.

Before you begin, make sure you have all of the supporting information you need, particularly when it comes to answering the detailed questions on your educational background and work experience.

For some positions, you may be asked to complete a set of open-ended questions. Here we are looking for in-depth responses from you on topics such as how you came to choose a particular position, business or region, or how your personal qualities will help make UBS more successful. For such questions there are no wrong answers, so just take your time and compose your thoughts. Answer honestly and thoughtfully and make sure that you articulate why you think you’d be a great fit for our business and culture.

Make sure that you have saved your résumé / CV in an easily accessible format (PDF/Word). You may also want to attach references and confirmations of employment, so it pays to have those on hand as well.

Prepare for online tests: You may be asked to complete online numerical or logical testing to support your application. You will receive an email invitation if the online testing is relevant to your submission. Please note that online testing is not required in every region.

Please note: UBS complies with and supports all national and local laws pertaining to non-discrimination and advancement opportunity, including those relating to making reasonable accommodations to the recruitment process for applicants who require them. Should you wish to discuss, please contact the recruiting team in your region.
