Our latest research shows how people can use their wealth - and the wealth of others - to empower women globally
Women as a force for economic change
Our Chief Investment Officer also commissioned this report to raise awareness about the complexity of the gender gap issue, and find the best ways to address it.
The face of wealth is changing
The face of wealth is evolving and women now hold 30% of private wealth,* but they tell us the industry doesn't understand their values, needs and goals. It's clearly time for change.
So, UBS launched UBS Unique, a five-year change program designed specifically for women to help them make the most of their wealth. It's about sharing expert advice, increasing financial knowledge and confidence, and showing how investments can bring about positive change.
We've also added the Global Gender Equality UCITS ETF to our suite of impact investment products, investing in the Solactive Equileap Global Gender Equality 100 Index (100 global companies chosen on 19 diversity measures like equal compensation, transparency, accountability, gender balance and sustainability policies).
Investing in LGBT
In 2018, UBS launched the InsightShares LGBT Employment Equality ETF, an exchange-traded fund investing in companies that promote equality for LGBT employees in the workplace. Our first ETF in the US will track an index based on a Human Rights Campaign Foundation gauge of corporate equality.
