Questions and answers about switching to e-documents
Whenever you have received a new e-document, you will see a message as soon as you log in to e-banking. Click on the link shown to access the new e-document.
Do you want to view, save or print an e-document you have already looked at? Select "E-documents" in the "Mailbox" tab and click on the name of the chosen e-document.
E-documents can be accessed in e-banking for ten years and remain available in the digital safe indefinitely.
If you have installed the UBS Safe app, you can also consult e-documents in the app on your smartphone. You will also receive a message in the Mobile Banking app whenever you have received new e-documents.
If you are domiciled in Switzerland or Liechtenstein, your bank documents will be saved in the digital safe automatically for an unlimited period of time.
The following conditions apply for using the UBS Safe:
- Banking relationship with UBS Switzerland AG (as a private client)
- Digital Banking contract
- Domicile in Switzerland or Liechtenstein
- For the additional UBS Safe app: iPhone with iOS, version 8 or later, smartphone with Android, version 4.4 or later
You will be redirected to the Safe automatically from e-banking when you click on "E-documents" under "Mailbox".
From now on, you will find your card invoices in e-banking and in the Mobile Banking app:
E-banking: Cards > Account & expenses > Monthly invoice
Mobile Banking app: Accounts & Cards > Cards > Invoices
As soon as you have logged in, you will see a message informing you that you have new invoices. You can set up additional notifications via Push, SMS or e-mail (see box 3 above).
Card invoices remain accessible in Digital Banking for two years.
You can settle your open credit card invoices directly online. As soon as you have logged in, you will see a message informing you that you have new invoices.
E-banking: Go to your invoice via "Cards > Account & Expenses > Monthly invoice". Click on the square symbol in the "Status" column.
Mobile Banking app: Go to the menu in the top right-hand corner: Accounts & Cards > Cards > Invoices > Tap current invoice > Pay A payment order will then open.
It is not possible to switch, and not necessary to do so. If you have activated e-bills for your credit card invoices, you already receive your invoices electronically. Take advantage of the digital standard if you want to receive all your credit card invoices and bank documents connected with your banking relationship electronically.
Yes, you can. Existing direct debits remain active when you switch to paperless invoices. The only change is that card invoices will be delivered electronically instead of on paper.
