GRESB 2021: Real Estate Switzerland impresses once again with good sustainability ratings

GRESB

Following last year's good results, Real Estate Switzerland's sustainability efforts were recognized again in 2021. Despite changes to the GRESB assessment method and an increasingly competitive global peer group, our funds are well rated again this year. All Swiss real estate investment products were awarded 3* and 4* ratings for existing properties. Six participating products in the rating for construction projects were even each awarded 5*.

Urs Fäs

Urs Fäs, Head of Investment Products at RE-CH, on the GRESB results:

"We have pursued our sustainability strategy since 2012 and are delighted to have this long-standing commitment recognized by the GRESB assessment. It confirms that we are on the right path and motivates us to follow it consistently."

Recertification of 2000-Watt Site «Grossmatte» in Lucerne!

Grossmatte

The «Grossmatte» complex in Lucerne-Littau, part of the UBS AST-IS1 portfolio, was the city's first 2000-Watt Site to be certified, and in 2021 it once again received certification for its demonstrable and exemplary results in terms of the objectives of the 2000-Watt Society. Compared to the last recertification, the complex achieved a further improvement in the qualitative assessment. This six to seven-story complex houses apartments, commercial outlets and places of work. Most of the 164 apartments are centered around the inner courtyard with its greenery, while on the ground floor along the main street are stores and other commercial premises covering an area of 2,640 m2. The 2000-Watt Site label is issued by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy.
