UBS have developed a free one day seminar held annually in April for secondary school economics teachers and career advisors with an interest in the current and future outlook for Australian and international economies and those wanting to provide their students with additional information on finance topics.
This one day event will focus on the outlook, challenges and opportunities facing the Australian and global economy.
We hope that providing timely, relevant information on the financial markets combined with the opportunity for participant networking will benefit teachers personally as well as in the classroom.
The keynote address will focus on the current global economic climate and emerging economic trends in the housing market, interest rates and exchange rates. It will also examine the implications of the growth of China and emerging economies on Australian domestic markets.
The agenda also includes an opportunity for teachers to visit the trading floor and for the career advisors provides an opportunity to explore career pathways in to financial services.
Look out for posters on your notice boards.
