A Business Analyst analyses any business-related processes that include banking, organizational, application-related and other operational processes and procedures and develops proposals for change or enhancement. This role would typically be found in a project environment.
The Business/Product Controller is business aligned to provide product, valuation and accounting control, and contributes to the operational management of the business division by analyzing figures and providing decision-making recommendations. Additionally, this role supports the business planning and forecasting process and acts as the primary source of financial information. This role is key to business management decisions including capital and investment decisions.
Specialist Controllers contribute to the operational management of the business division through policy interpretation, practical application and preparation of information. Additionally, this role acts as the primary source of guidance and financial information, using underlying systems appropriately to produce output which, in conformity with the bank's strategy and regulatory requirements, serves as the basis for management decisions.
The Financial Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accounting records of the business unit are accurate and complete, and that the financial information is reported in a timely manner - reconciled, plausible, and auditable.
The Financial Operations Specialist provides business-related services and support to an individual, team or department within the group's Financial Control function. These services are of an operational, technical, analytical, administrative or quality control nature, and are intended to assist with decision making.
The Financial Reporting Specialist is responsible for various types of financial reporting including management reporting, external reporting and regulatory reporting, on both a local and global basis.
The Policy Specialist is responsible for the development and maintenance of a group-wide accounting policy and capital adequacy framework in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, as well as for providing valuation governance.
The role of Tax Specialist involves managing the bank's corporate income tax affairs in a manner that achieves sustainable tax efficiency while acting in compliance with all applicable tax laws and other requirements. In addition, tax specialists provide support to the business divisions in their control of business tax risks to minimize the adverse effects of tax risk on shareholder value.
Treasurers are responsible for management of UBS’s financial resources and associated infrastructure, processes and transactions in a manner that reflects the strategic objectives and risk tolerance of the Board of Directors and the Group Executive Board. Treasurers perform numerous functions, including acting as advisor, strategic analyst, risk controller, trade executor, and stakeholder manager.
